The event, which will run until September 28, brings together heads of state and government from around the world to discuss the priorities and visions of their respective nations before the global community.
The opening session took place in the General Assembly Hall, where the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, presented his annual report on the organization’s efforts and activities. The proceedings of this edition are being chaired by the representative of Bangladesh, Khalilur Rahman.
