Widow’s Bay dominates and Matthew Rhys makes history at the 2026 Emmy Awards
Los Angeles dressed up to celebrate the 2026 edition of the Emmy Awards, a ceremony hosted by the renowned actress Mariska Hargitay that stood out for memorable moments and recognition of the most influential productions in current television.
The big winner of the night was the Apple TV comedy series Widow’s Bay, which consolidated its dominance by taking home 14 statuettes in total. After obtaining eight awards in the previous technical ceremony, the production added six more awards during the main gala, including the recognition for best comedy series.
