Following his victory in the NASCAR Cup Series at Kansas Speedway, Kyle Larson will turn his attention to the Indianapolis 500, seeking glory in motorsports once again.
Even though he wasn’t scheduled to practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway until Tuesday, Larson chose to participate in a sprint car race in Kokomo, Indiana, on Monday night, before diving headfirst into preparation for the main event.
He just keeps going and going and going.

Larson’s passion for racing leads him to compete in various categories, from the Cup Series to local dirt races. Last Friday, he participated in a race of his High Limit Racing series at Lakeside Speedway, where he even suffered an incident with a sprint car, but he took it calmly and continued competing.
What has always impressed me about Kyle since he arrived at Hendrick Motorsports is that he doesn’t flinch. Nothing affects him. He doesn’t get upset. He doesn’t get excited about something that happens on the track. He just takes it in stride and keeps driving.

In last year’s Indianapolis 500, Larson attempted “the Double,” competing in both the 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte on the same day, a challenge few have accomplished. While he overcame issues on the track, rain prevented him from competing in Charlotte.
This year, the weather forecast for the Indianapolis 500 is favorable, and Larson arrives with great momentum after his victory at Kansas Speedway, where he led most of the race and placed first in the standings.
Larson has also achieved two victories in three Xfinity races, one victory in two Truck races, and several podium finishes in the High Limit series.
I don’t let one race affect the next day of my life.

Larson is eager to try “the Double” again and hopes to have a couple of smooth weeks, working with the Arrow McLaren team and looking for a good balance to be in the fight at the end.
