Tatiana Suárez: Rise in the UFC Strawweight Ranking After Victory

The fighter Tatiana Suarez, after her recent performance, could be close to a new opportunity for the UFC strawweight championship. Her victory on last Saturday’s Noche UFC card has given her a significant boost in the rankings.

Climbing the Ranking

Suarez, who had previously suffered a defeat against Zhang Weili in her attempt for the title, recovered with a victory over Amanda Lemos. This triumph allowed Suarez (11-1) to surpass Lemos and place fourth in the ranking.The 115-pound title became vacant, and with Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern competing for the position, the winner could be next to face Suarez.In Saturday’s main event, Diego Lopes remained in third place in the featherweight division, because Movsar Evloev, who is ranked just above him, has already defeated him.Additionally, other changes were made to the rankings due to eligibility requirements that demand fighters compete in the last year or have a scheduled fight. Dan Hooker, Arnold Allen, and Norma Dumont were removed from the rankings due to inactivity.

The results are current and the rankings correspond to September 16th. To be eligible for the ranking, a fighter must have competed in the last 12 months or have a scheduled fight. Fighters who have been removed for inactivity can only be reinstated after competing.
