McGregor Assures: “I’m in Camp! Return to UFC is Imminent”

Conor McGregor claims to be training for his UFC return, although questions persist about when it will materialize. The Irish fighter has not competed in five years, since he suffered a broken leg in his fight against Dustin Poirier. In his last four fights, McGregor has accumulated three losses, including two against Poirier and one against Khabib Nurmagomedov, results that date back to 2018. However, he has shared videos of his training sessions with his longtime coach, John Kavanagh, at the SBG gym in Ireland, insisting that he will fight this year.

100% camp, this is. We’re going 100%. I’m going into this fight like Conor McGregor at 100%.

McGregor added that the precision of his blows, as shown in the images where they hit his sparring partners, are “rockets, missiles”. The former two-division UFC champion is now 37 years old. His suspension for “localization failures” imposed by the Sports Anti-Doping Agency (CSAD) will end on March 20. The UFC has a card scheduled at the White House for June 14, but President Dana White has already ruled out a fight between McGregor and Michael Chandler for that date. Chandler and McGregor have been on a collision course for three years, but the showdown has never materialized. McGregor withdrew from a scheduled fight against Chandler in 2024 due to an injury. White hasn’t mentioned other possible opponents for McGregor.
