Trea Turner leaves game with injury

MIAMI – Philadelphia Phillies star shortstop Trea Turner left Sunday’s game against the Miami Marlins in the seventh inning due to a right hamstring strain. Turner hit a solo home run in the sixth inning, reducing Philadelphia’s deficit to 4-2. In his next at-bat, in the seventh, Turner hit a ground ball and reached base on a throwing error by Otto Lopez of Miami. Edmundo Sosa replaced Turner as a runner and at shortstop. The 32-year-old player leads the National League in batting average with .305 and also has 179 hits this season, leading the league.
