After nearly three decades as a golf commentator, Ian Baker-Finch announces his retirement. The news was revealed on Tuesday through a statement published on the CBS Sports account on X. Baker-Finch, 64, has been working with the CBS network for the last 19 years. As a player, the Australian is remembered for his victory at the 1991 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. Baker-Finch began his broadcasting career in 1998 and joined CBS in 2007.

“After 19 incredible years as a golf analyst with CBS Sports and a remarkable 30-year career in the industry, I am announcing my retirement from broadcasting,” Baker-Finch stated. “Golf has been a huge part of my life. I was fortunate enough to compete against the best players in the game and, more recently, to work with the best in television.
