Lando Norris led an impressive 1-2 for McLaren in the final practice session of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri.
Norris, setting a time of 1 minute and 14.897 seconds, ensured that McLaren dominated the practice in Ferrari’s territory, consolidating the top two positions in the three sessions.
Piastri, who had led Friday’s sessions and is 16 points ahead of Norris in the championship after six races, was only 0.100 seconds away this time.

Max Verstappen, the four-time world champion of Red Bull, who has won the last three races in Imola, placed in third position, just 0.181 seconds behind the leader, indicating a more competitive competition.
Mercedes’ young driver, 18-year-old Kimi Antonelli, secured fourth position before his home debut, although he was half a second behind Norris.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was fifth on the timesheet, while seven-time world champion and teammate Lewis Hamilton placed tenth, preparing for his first race in Italy with the team.
Carlos Sainz, Hamilton’s predecessor at Ferrari, achieved sixth place for Williams.
Isack Hadjar from Racing Bulls and George Russell from Mercedes followed in the classification, with Alex Albon from Williams in ninth place.
Argentine debutant Franco Colapinto, replacing Jack Doohan at Alpine, finished in 18th position.
The qualifying for Sunday’s race will take place later on Saturday.
