Hamilton Denies Rumors about Relationship with his Ferrari Engineer
British driver Lewis Hamilton has responded to speculation about a supposed break in his relationship with Riccardo Adami, his race engineer at Ferrari. Hamilton stated that “it’s all noise” referring to the rumors.
Since the seven-time world champion joined Ferrari, the radio communications between Hamilton and Adami have generated interest.
After the Monaco Grand Prix, a video went viral where Hamilton asked on the radio: “Are you upset with me or something like that?” The response was silence, which Ferrari attributed to radio problems in certain areas of the circuit.

Hamilton emphasized that there are no problems in their relationship. He highlighted the hard work together and the pursuit of victory. He acknowledged that, as in any relationship, there are disagreements, but that they resolve them together.
The bond between a driver and their engineer is crucial in Formula 1.
When asked about the post-race message from Monaco, Hamilton explained that there were radio problems in certain areas of the circuit and that he did not receive all the information he wanted. Then, they talked about it.
During his eleven years with Mercedes, Hamilton developed a close relationship with his race engineer, Peter Bonnington. However, the dynamic with Adami has seemed different. Hamilton also had curt responses to Adami during the Miami Grand Prix in early May.
The seven-time world champion added that they are still adapting to the new dynamic. “Our relationship is great, there are no problems. We are constantly learning more about each other. We are adapting to the way we like to work. He has worked with many different drivers before. We have no problem at all.”
