How are the Positions?

After a perfect weekend in São Paulo, Norris leads with a 24-point advantage over his McLaren teammate, Piastri. Verstappen, the current champion, is 25 points behind. George Russell of Mercedes is in fourth position, but his mathematical possibilities are scarce.

Who’s in Better Shape?

Norris is, without a doubt, the most outstanding driver at the moment. After some difficulties, he has achieved pole position and victory in consecutive races, including a Sprint victory in Interlagos. On the other hand, Piastri has had a less consistent performance, although he won the Dutch Grand Prix. Norris has taken the lead in this title fight.

When Could the Championship Be Defined?

In the three remaining races, there are a maximum of 83 points at stake. Norris could not secure the championship in Las Vegas, as his maximum advantage would be 49 points. The title could be defined in Qatar, where he would need an advantage of at least 26 points over second place. Norris could win the championship with four second places and a Sprint victory.
