Formula 1 Secures its Future in Montreal until 2035
Formula 1 has confirmed its commitment to Montreal, extending its presence in the Canadian city until the year 2035. This agreement, announced after the recent edition of the Canadian Grand Prix, ensures the continuity of one of the most emblematic races on the calendar.
The four-year extension agreement is added to the existing contract that guaranteed F1’s presence in Montreal until 2031. With this new negotiation, the Gilles Villeneuve circuit will continue to host the Canadian Grand Prix for many more years.
The Canadian Grand Prix, which celebrated its 54th edition at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, stands out as the race with the greatest tradition outside of Europe. Since 1978, this circuit has been the scene of exciting competitions, and now, with this new agreement, the story will continue.
The agreement was reached between Formula 1, the race promoter, Octane Racing, and the governments of Canada and Quebec.
