Cadillac Reveals its Design for the 2026 Formula 1 Season

The Cadillac Formula 1 team has unveiled its design for the 2026 racing season during a commercial at Sunday’s Super Bowl. To maximize exposure in the United States, the new team chose the country’s largest annual sporting event to reveal the look of its new car and formally launch its first season in F1. The commercial included John F. Kennedy’s famous 1962 speech at Rice University, in which he pledged that the United States would put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. At the end of the Super Bowl commercial, Cadillac’s new look was revealed, with an asymmetrical design that is predominantly white on one side and predominantly black on the other.

The experienced driver duo, Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas, will compete for Cadillac in 2026, seeking to catch up in their debut season. The GM-backed team began testing its car last month using a provisional design featuring a large Cadillac logo and the names of the employees who have contributed to its arrival on the grid. The new design expected to be launched at the Super Bowl is expected to appear on the car in the upcoming pre-season tests in Bahrain and throughout the rest of the year. The first Cadillac F1 car is being designed and built in Silverstone, UK, but the team plans to move a large part of its operation to Fishers, Indiana, in the coming years. For their first three seasons in F1, Cadillac cars will be powered by Ferrari engines, although GM and the team’s parent company, TWG, have committed to building their own power units in the United States from 2029. The first race of the 2026 season will begin on March 8 in Melbourne, Australia.
