Tyson Fury has announced that a third fight against the unified heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at Wembley Stadium, London. The announcement was made by Fury through his Instagram account on Thursday.

This news comes after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and owner of Ring Magazine, mentioned on Wednesday that Fury would fight again in 2026. In January, Fury announced his most recent retirement, after several previous announcements of hanging up his gloves.

Sergey Lapin, head of Usyk’s team, Ready to Fight, stated that, although the focus is on the upcoming fight against Daniel Dubois on July 19 for the undisputed heavyweight title at Wembley, the Ukrainian would be open to a trilogy against Fury.

The idea of a third fight with Tyson Fury has been on the table between our teams since their second fight. And I have never doubted that, along with Goldstar Promotions, we could make it a reality.

Lapin added:

At this moment, both Oleksandr Usyk and our team are fully focused on the upcoming fight with Dubois… and on achieving the historic goal of becoming three-time undisputed world champions. When this goal is achieved and the dust settles, we will be open to the next round.

Fury faced Usyk twice in 2024, losing both fights on points. The former heavyweight champion had been linked with a British mega-fight against Anthony Joshua, but on Tuesday he declared that he wanted to fight Usyk again. “Who would you rather fight right now? Usyk,” Fury said. “Because I want my rematch in England. That’s all I want. I want a fair chance and I don’t think I’ve had it in the last two times.” Fury hinted that, if the fight with Usyk couldn’t be made, he would want to face Joshua.
