Chris Eubank Jr. aims to return to the ring in 2026
Boxer Chris Eubank Jr. intends to continue competing in boxing and aims to return to the ring in mid-2026, according to his promoter Ben Shalom. Eubank Jr. suffered a points defeat to Conor Benn two weeks ago. After the fight, the boxer stated that he had gone through difficulties during his preparation, although he did not specify the cause. Both pugilists had to comply with a 10-pound rehydration clause on fight day, which meant they couldn’t weigh more than 170 pounds in the morning. Although Eubank Jr. has competed in the middleweight category (160 pounds) in the past, he made it clear that he doesn’t consider that his ideal weight. Although the 36-year-old boxer did not comment on his future in boxing, Shalom stated that Eubank Jr. will seek to return to the ring sometime next year.Shalom added that if the rehydration clause had not existed and Eubank Jr. regains his physical form, the trilogy with Benn could be an option. He’s okay, he’s recovering. Obviously he’s devastated, but anyone can see that wasn’t Chris Eubank Jr. in the ring,” Shalom commented.

The promoter also added: “Instead of challenging other boxers now, once he is physically 100%, we can make that decision. I think it will be in the middle of next year.”There are many names available, but first you must be in shape and healthy,” Shalom affirmed.
