Gigantes del Cibao Reveals Pitching Rotation for the Round Robin
San Francisco de Macorís – Gigantes del Cibao manager José Leger has announced the starting pitcher rotation that the team will use for the first three games of the round-robin phase. The strategy is based on the experience of his pitchers to face this crucial stage of the tournament.
Leger has confirmed that Shane Greene will be in charge of opening the first game. The Giants will face the Toros del Este on Saturday, December 27 at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium in La Romana, starting at 7:30 pm.
For the second game, scheduled for Sunday the 28th, the Giants will play at the Julián Javier Stadium. Left-hander Steve Moyers will take the mound to face the Águilas Cibaeñas. This game is scheduled for 5:00 in the afternoon.
The rotation will continue on Monday the 29th, again at the Julián Javier Stadium, with right-hander Daniel Mengden as the starter against the Leones del Escogido. The game is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
After the December 30th game, the Dominican Professional Baseball League will take its traditional year-end break. The action of the Round Robin will resume on January 2, 2026.
With this rotation, José Leger seeks for the Gigantes del Cibao to start the semifinal phase of the championship on the right foot.
