Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi – Lando Norris, the prominent British McLaren driver and current leader of the Formula One World Championship, reaffirmed his dominance in the second free practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This competition marks the final race of the season.

Norris surpassed Max Verstappen, the Dutch Red Bull driver and four-time world champion, who is in second place in the general classification, just twelve points behind the leader.

In his fastest lap, Norris completed the 5,281 meters of the Yas Marina circuit in a time of 1:23.083.

George Russell, the English Mercedes driver, placed third, 379 thousandths of a second behind Norris’s time. All the leading drivers used soft tires.

Oscar Piastri, the Australian from McLaren, who holds third place in the championship fight, finished the session in eleventh position, 680 thousandths of a second behind his teammate.

Piastri did not participate in the first free session, but was present in the second to refine his preparation for the final weekend.

With times so tight and the championship still up for grabs between the McLaren drivers and the reigning champion, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix promises a crucial qualifying session and a final race full of excitement on Sunday.
