Lamine Yamal, the Best Under-23 Player of LaLiga EA Sports 2024-2025
Barcelona’s young prodigy, Lamine Yamal, has been awarded as the best under-23 player in LaLiga EA Sports for the 2024-2025 season. The competition announced this Thursday the recognition of the footballer, highlighting his fundamental role in the conquest of the title by the Blaugrana team.
The Spanish international, who will celebrate his 18th birthday on July 13th, scored nine goals and led the championship’s assist table with thirteen assists, contributing significantly to the success of the Catalan team. The impact of Yamal on Barcelona’s game has transcended statistics, establishing himself as the most destabilizing player in the squad thanks to his dribbling ability, his finishing skills, and his vision of the game.Throughout the season, the forward received the monthly award for the best under-23 player in LaLiga twice, in August and February, equaling Fabio Silva (UD Las Palmas) as the player with the most recognitions in this category during the season. Additionally, Yamal was distinguished as the best player in LaLiga EA Sports in September.
In the final vote to choose the best under-23 player of the season, the young Catalan surpassed Fábio Silva, Diego López (Valencia), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Arda Güler (Real Madrid), Pedro González ‘Pedri’ (Barcelona) and Alberto Moleiro (UD Las Palmas).
