Mike Trout Regains Form with Power at Fenway Park
BOSTON – Mike Trout has quickly demonstrated his ability to regain his best form after missing a month due to a left knee contusion. The Los Angeles Angels player had an outstanding performance on Monday night, including a 454-foot home run, the longest of the year at Fenway Park, in his team’s 7-6 victory over the Boston Red Sox.This was Trout’s second three-hit game in three appearances since returning from the injured list on Friday.

Trout hit a three-run homer in the first inning and singled in his next two at-bats. In the seventh, he grounded into a double play, but claimed to have no issues with his left knee while trying to avoid the out.
In total, the 11-time All-Star and three-time AL MVP has a batting average of .225, with 8 hits in 14 at-bats since coming off the injured list.
Trout, 33, said he used the time off to work on his swing, although he limited himself to 30-40 swings per day. This rest helped him correct some bad habits he had developed.Monday’s three hits gave Trout 1,675 in his career, placing him second on the franchise list, surpassing Tim Salmon. Garret Anderson holds the Angels’ record with 2,368.
Zach Neto hit a home run at the start of the game, Trout added a three-run homer, and Jo Adell sent the ball over the Green Monster to make the score 6-0, all in the first inning. According to MLB.com, it was the first time in the 114-year history of Fenway Park that a visiting team hit three home runs in the first inning.
It’s always special to set records in a stadium like this. It’s crazy.
