Knicks’ Landry Shamet Out With Injury
New York Knicks guard Landry Shamet will be reevaluated in four weeks due to a sprain in his right shoulder.
Shamet suffered the injury during the first quarter of last Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic, after a collision with a screen from Wendell Carter Jr. The player left the court in obvious pain and did not return to the game.
Shamet has already begun the rehabilitation process for his injured shoulder.
The player has been one of the best three-point shooters in the league so far this season, averaging 42.4% from the three-point line. This earned him a spot in the Knicks’ starting lineup before the injury. Before the shoulder problem, he had his best five-game stretch with the Knicks this season, scoring in double figures in four consecutive games, including a 36-point performance in the 140-132 victory over Miami.
The double-digit streak was broken with nine points in 23 minutes in the victory against Dallas last Wednesday.
The Knicks visit the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night before returning home on Friday night to host the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden.
