Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua on December 19th

Most Valuable Promotions has announced the preliminary fights for the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event, which will be held on December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami and will be broadcast live on Netflix. The fight card, which was originally scheduled for Paul’s fight with Gervonta Davis, remains largely intact. The co-main event will be Alycia Baumgardner’s defense of the unified super featherweight title against Leila Beaudoin. However, Anderson Silva will not face Chris Weidman in the initial fight of the main card. Instead, former UFC champion Tyron Woodley will step into the ring to face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout. Both Silva and Woodley have previously lost against Paul. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley lost both fights against “The Problem Child”, a split decision in August 2021 and a knockout loss in the rematch in December of that same year.

I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job. Always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.

Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who was the UFC welterweight champion from 2016 to 2019, hopes to get his first boxing win against one of the best MMA champions of all time.

Facing occasions like this are the moments when legends are born.

La última vez que peleó, Tyron Woodley, a la izquierda, fue brutalmente noqueado en el sexto asalto de su combate de boxeo contra Jake Paul en diciembre de 2021.
The preliminary card will also include the defense of Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson’s undisputed bantamweight title against Amanda Galle, Yokasta Valle putting her WBC strawweight title on the line against Yadira Bustillos, and Avious Griffin facing Justin Cardona in a welterweight bout. Keno Marley, a two-time Brazilian Olympian, will make his professional debut in a four-round cruiserweight bout against Diarra Davis. The WBA super lightweight title fight between champion Gary Antuanne Russell and Andy Hiraoka is no longer part of the card.

Anderson Silva vs. Tyron Woodley is an iconic matchup, which continues to elevate Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day to one of the most exciting combat sports events of the decade. This is the gladiatorial sports spectacle of the 21st century. A main event that has involved the entire world. Bringing back two of the MMA GOATs to the spotlight on a global stage, live on Netflix, reflects the magnitude of this card.
