Pride owner Mark Wilf stated that Carter played a key role in “positioning the Pride among the elite clubs of the NWSL and the world.” “We have begun a diligent and methodical search for a new football leader who will have the opportunity to work with a championship-level squad and coaching staff,” said Wilf. “Combined with our clear vision for the future and the club’s positive culture, I am confident that the Pride is well-positioned to continue its trajectory of success.”
