Frank Martínez concludes the case following allegations against his son Kiko
The former candidate for the senate for the province of La Romana, Frank Martínez, has formally announced that he considers the chapter related to the accusations that linked his son, known as Kiko, to a confusing incident that occurred recently in that area to be closed. The decision comes after the parties involved issued public apologies, which allowed the situation to be clarified to the public.
Martínez was emphatic in completely distancing his son from any illicit or violent activity, asserting that Kiko was never present nor participated in disputes or episodes involving gunfire. According to the jurist, the family chose to forcefully deny the rumors from the beginning, maintaining confidence in their descendant’s innocence.
We came out to deny it firmly, unequivocally, because we also knew beforehand that Kiko had nothing to do with it. Kiko, my son, never participated in any event that had to do with bullets or arguments. Nothing, none of that.

Call for informational responsibility
During his statements, Martínez lamented the lightness with which information is disseminated in media and social networks without a prior verification process. The political leader called on communicators to act with greater rigor, thus avoiding damaging the reputation of people who turn out to be unrelated to the reported events.
Regarding the possibility of initiating legal proceedings for defamation, the former senator clarified that, for the moment, they have no intentions of proceeding legally. The public apologies received are, in his view, sufficient to repair the damage caused to his family. However, he made it clear that his legal team remains vigilant and reserves the right to take action if new defamation or media manipulation arises in the future.
Willingness to cooperate with the authorities
Despite considering the matter closed, Martínez reiterated that both he and his son maintain a position of total transparency before the National Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office. If the competent authorities decide to open an official investigation to delve into the facts, both are fully prepared to appear before the corresponding instances to collaborate and clarify any doubts.
