Pulisic se pierde la Copa Oro por Necesidades de Recuperación

AC Milan and United States National Team attacker Christian Pulisic will not participate in the upcoming Gold Cup. Sources confirm that the player needs a recovery period after a demanding season in Europe.

If Pulisic plays Milan’s final season match against Monza on Saturday, he will have played 50 matches in all competitions for the club this season.

A source revealed that Pulisic has been dealing with a chronic hip flexor issue, although it has not been confirmed if this is the reason for his absence from the Gold Cup.

The U.S. national team will look to recover from its performance in the Concacaf Nations League in March, where it suffered defeats against Panama and Canada.

In addition to Pulisic, the United States will not have the Juventus duo of Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah, nor Gio Reyna of Borussia Dortmund, who will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Club World Cup could also leave Johnny Cardoso out of the squad if his transfer to Atlético de Madrid is finalized.

The United States will begin the group stage of the Gold Cup on June 15 against Trinidad and Tobago, followed by matches against Saudi Arabia on June 19 and Haiti three days later.
