Scottie Scheffler Wins PGA Championship

American golfer Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Championship, thus achieving the third ‘major’ of his outstanding career. This triumph adds to his two previous titles at the Masters Tournament.

Scheffler, 28, dominated the tournament held at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. He arrived at the final round as leader and consolidated his position with a cumulative score of eleven under par.

His performance secured him a significant advantage over his competitors, with a five-stroke lead over Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English, and Davis Riley.

The final round was not easy for Scheffler, who had a complicated start with three bogeys in the first nine holes. However, he showed his composure and ability to react, achieving crucial birdies on holes ten, fourteen and fifteen to regain control of the classification.

Spaniard Jon Rahm, who had staged a remarkable comeback, saw his performance marred by a bogey and two consecutive double bogeys in the final holes, which prevented him from contending for the title.

The second position was shared by DeChambeau, Riley, and English. The Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas was the best Latin player, finishing in fifth position.

The Chilean Joaquín Niemann had an outstanding performance, finishing in eighth position.
