Santo Domingo – The newly elected executive committee of the Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli) held its first working meeting, marking a milestone in local sports with the delivery of the election certificates to its members.
These certificates, signed by the three members of the electoral commission of the assembly last month, validate the formation of the new management team.
The lawyer Alexis García, re-elected president of Fedovoli, announced that the first agreement was to extend an invitation to the group led by Ángel Rivas in the elections, with the aim of unifying proposals.
“From this meeting in Dominican volleyball, there will no longer be talk of elections, nor of campaigning…that’s already in the past. Now the process is one of reunification and we are publicly making a call for them to accept the invitation that we will make in the coming hours so that we can analyze, reach consensus on, both their program and ours, and create a single one in order to continue developing volleyball in the country,” he highlighted.

The organization of the National Children’s Tournament was also approved, which will begin with provincial and zonal qualifiers, culminating with the women’s final in Hermanas Mirabal and the men’s final in Higüey, between May and August.
At the international level, it will focus on the preparation of athletes for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.
The federation will invest resources in the preparation of the women’s and men’s indoor and beach volleyball teams.
In the previous edition of these games, held in 2022 in El Salvador, “Las Reinas del Caribe” won the gold medal for the sixth consecutive time, while the men’s team won silver, as did the women’s beach volleyball team.
“We are capable of repeating the great feat of Dominican volleyball,” predicted the president of the organization.
