Stephen Curry, out of action for crucial Game 5
The Golden State Warriors will face elimination in Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves without their star, Stephen Curry.
The team confirmed Curry’s absence on Tuesday night, due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain, the same injury that has kept him out of the last three games.
Curry suffered the injury in the second quarter of Game 1 of the semifinals series. The Warriors have lost the three games he has been absent.
If the Warriors manage to extend their season on Wednesday, Curry would have three additional days to recover before a possible Game 6 at home on Sunday.
No, we’re not going to make this like Superman,” Draymond Green said after Monday’s game when asked if he expected Curry to try to force his return. “If he’s able to play, I’m sure he will. He and Rick [Celebrini, Warriors vice president of player health and performance] and everyone will figure it out. But we don’t need Curry to be Superman.

Green added: “You have to play the long game. If he can, we know he will. But there’s no pressure. We have to find a way to win, whether he plays or not.”
