NFL Brings American Football to a Global Audience with YouTube

The NFL has announced that YouTube will stream the Week 1 game in Brazil for a global audience for free. The game is scheduled for Friday, September 5th at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.

The [Los Angeles Chargers](/nfl/team/_/name/lac/los-angeles-chargers) are hosting the game. The opponent will be revealed when the NFL releases its full schedule.

This event will mark the first exclusive NFL game to be broadcast live and for free in its entirety on YouTube and YouTube TV.

The NFL played its first game in Brazil to kick off the 2024 season, with the [Philadelphia Eagles](/nfl/team/_/name/phi/philadelphia-eagles) defeating the [Green Bay Packers](/nfl/team/_/name/gb/green-bay-packers) with a score of 34-29 in Sao Paulo on September 6th.

YouTube and YouTube TV have been the home of NFL Sunday Ticket since the start of the 2023 season.

The official NFL YouTube channel has over 14 million subscribers.

Last year, people spent over 350 million hours watching official NFL content on YouTube, so it’s appropriate and exciting to continue building our relationship with our NFL partners.

The broadcast of Friday night’s game to fans around the world for free will mark YouTube’s first time as a live NFL broadcaster, and we’ll do it in a way that only YouTube can, with an interactive viewing experience and creators at the center of the experience.
