This victory is the first he has achieved in the championship since 2021. Hamlin, at 44 years old, is tied for tenth place on the NASCAR wins list with Kevin Harvick. After a strategic pit stop, Hamlin advanced from fifth position to take the lead. This triumph represents Hamlin’s seventh victory of the season, his best performance since 2020. Joe Gibbs, team owner, also expressed his excitement for Hamlin’s achievement, highlighting the driver’s dedication. In the race, Kyle Larson finished in second place, followed by Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe. Regarding other competitors, William Byron had an incident that took him out of the race, while Ryan Blaney suffered a tire issue, affecting his chances in the championship. Blaney, who started the race in second place in the standings, is now in a critical situation in the playoff round.
