Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026

The city of Chicago will be the epicenter of women’s basketball in 2026, as it will host the WNBA All-Star Game. The event will take place on Saturday, July 25 at the United Center, according to the league. This will be the second time Chicago hosts this prestigious event. The first time was in 2022, although on that occasion the venue was the Wintrust Arena, the main home of the Chicago Sky WNBA team. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a larger capacity, with around 20,900 seats for basketball events, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena. Although the United Center will be the main stage, the Wintrust Arena will remain part of the All-Star festivities, as it will host the three-point contest and the skills challenge, scheduled for July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for the league’s fans, will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend.

“The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer unforgettable competition and community activities,” said Commissioner Cathy Engelbert.

“The Chicago Sky is excited to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago,” said Sky CEO and President Adam Fox. “We are eager to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the biggest stars in the WNBA on a world-class stage.”
