Giannis Antetokounmpo Envisions Retirement in Greece
The Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has expressed his desire to end his basketball career playing for a Greek team once he retires from the NBA. The two-time MVP is preparing to start his thirteenth season with the Bucks, after a summer in which his possible options were speculated about. Antetokounmpo is under contract for the next two seasons, before being able to become a free agent in the summer of 2027.These statements were made on ANT1’s “The 2night Show”. Antetokounmpo added that he does not wish to live in the United States once he leaves the NBA, and his intention is to return to Greece. The player, originally from Athens, Greece, began his professional career with Filathlitikos, a team in the Greek B league, where he played for two seasons before being selected in the 2013 NBA draft.I am 30 years old, I can play in the NBA until 36-38. I would like to end my career in a Greek team, why not?
