Emotional Tribute to Thomas Müller in His Farewell from Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich fans paid a touching tribute to Thomas Müller in his last home match with the club this Saturday.

The fans displayed an impressive red and white tifo behind one of the goals, with images of Müller celebrating and lifting trophies, accompanied by his name in giant letters. A banner above the tifo read: “For 25 years, everything for our colors!”

In addition, the club’s directors presented Müller, 35, with a photograph of himself with all the trophies he has won with the Bavarian giant.

Let us play!” exclaimed Müller as he carried the photo and a bouquet of flowers to the band.

Bayern, who were crowned Bundesliga champions the previous weekend, faced Borussia Mönchengladbach before receiving the trophy.

Bayern Munich fans paid tribute to Thomas Müller before his last home game for the club.

Müller started the match, his 502nd appearance in the Bundesliga. He played until the 84th minute, when he was substituted amid a deafening ovation. As he left the field, he hugged his teammates, blew kisses, and greeted the fans. Bayern’s substitutes formed a guard of honor for him.

Müller will leave at the end of the season after winning a record 13 league titles, among others, with the club.

In April, it was announced that this would be Müller’s last season with the club. The player wished to extend his contract despite having limited playing time, but Bayern’s management considered it more prudent to save his considerable salary.

Müller joined Bayern in the summer of 2000, at the age of 10, coming from TSV Pähl, a small Bavarian club southwest of Munich.

He debuted with Bayern under the direction of Jürgen Klinsmann in 2008 and consolidated under Louis van Gaal the following season. He has played more than 700 matches with Bayern, more than any other player, and has scored more than 200 goals and provided more than 200 assists.
