Hamilton Confides in Ferrari’s Future Despite Challenges

Lewis Hamilton has reaffirmed his confidence in Ferrari as a title contender during his time with the team, despite recent challenges. The British driver emphasizes that the media often focuses on the negative aspects, but he prefers to highlight the team’s responsiveness and progress. Hamilton finished eighth in the Singapore Grand Prix, losing a position due to a penalty for multiple track infringements. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, also faced similar problems and finished sixth. Despite another disappointing weekend for Ferrari, which has not achieved victories this year, Hamilton maintains an optimistic attitude. The seven-time world champion sees the Singapore Grand Prix as an example of the team’s ability to overcome adversity.

“I’m focusing on the positive aspects on the track,” Hamilton wrote in a post. “The media headlines only tell one story, one where we don’t do things right or things don’t go as we want. But what I’ve focused on in recent months is the other story. The one of how this team responds when things go wrong. How we get up and try again.”

Hamilton highlighted that, despite the problems in Singapore, the team demonstrated its ability to react. “Yesterday was the perfect example. We did the strategy well, but the problem with the brakes set us back just when we were gaining momentum. Now we go back to the factory, learn from this last race and plan the next one.” The driver expressed his pride in the team and his desire to achieve the results that both the team and the tifosi deserve. “I see the progress we are making and the hard work that goes into each race, but this is Ferrari. Progress alone is not enough. To achieve greatness, we must go further, be better. There is much we can achieve together, and if we can build on our successes and change the things we need to, I firmly believe we will get there.”

Hamilton also shared his reflections on the support received after the death of his dog, Roscoe. “After a difficult week, it feels good to be home. I had time to reflect on my journey from Singapore and the main emotion I feel is gratitude,” he wrote. “The support and love I have felt since I lost Roscoe has been a powerful reminder that, even when things sometimes seem dark, there is a lot of good in the world. You just have to look for it.”
