TAMPA, Fla. – Outfielder Sal Frelick has returned to the Milwaukee Brewers’ lineup after a left knee injury, for Friday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Frelick exited the Brewers’ 4-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday due to left knee discomfort. The 2024 National League Gold Glove winner felt discomfort while taking a swing and missed the following three games. An MRI of his knee showed no major damage.
Frelick bats sixth and is the starting right fielder for Milwaukee. With a batting average of .297, Frelick has only one home run, but is among the team leaders with seven stolen bases.
The Brewers begin a six-game road trip in Tampa.
