Greyserman Leads Baycurrent Classic in Japan
In an exciting first round of the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, Americans Max Greyserman, Bud Cauley, and Brian Campbell positioned themselves at the top of the leaderboard with an outstanding performance. Each of them achieved an impressive card of 67 strokes, four under par, demonstrating their skill on the golf course. The tournament, held at the Yokohama Country Club, is the only PGA Tour event played in Japan. Several players are one step away from the leaders, including Australian Adam Scott. Another seven golfers are two strokes away. Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa, both members of the American team that suffered a defeat in the Ryder Cup, finished with a score of par 71. The defending champion, Nico Echavarria, from Colombia, completed the round with 70 strokes. Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 Masters champion, recorded 72 strokes in the first round. Greyserman, who was the runner-up last year, expressed his enthusiasm for playing in Japan.Greyserman described the first round as “very, very difficult” due to the strong winds.
