In the exciting world of boxing, speculation and rumors are the order of the day. At Alofoke Deportes, we analyze the statements and tell you what’s real and what’s not. Here we present an analysis of the most anticipated fights and possible twists in the careers of the most outstanding boxers.

Will Gervonta Davis Retire After the Fight with Jake Paul?

Gervonta “Tank” Davis, one of the best boxers at the moment, has hinted at the possibility of retiring. The question everyone is asking is: will it be after his fight with Jake Paul on November 14th?

The answer, according to our analysis, is no. Davis has stated that he boxes for financial benefits and not for legacy. Before his controversial draw with Lamont Roach Jr., Davis commented that he would retire soon. The fight with Paul, with a considerable purse, could be the final incentive for his retirement, or at least, a prolonged break. This would mean that we will not see fights against figures like Stevenson, Haney or Lopez in the short term.

Teofimo Lopez Jr. vs. Shakur Stevenson: The Next Big Fight?

Yes! The fight between Teofimo Lopez Jr. and Shakur Stevenson is a reality. Although a match between Lopez and Haney did not materialize, the idea that Lopez avoids opponents is exaggerated. Both boxers have proven their worth, and this fight could catapult the winner to the top of boxing. The fight is expected to take place in early 2026.

Lopez and Stevenson know that the winner will not only climb the rankings, but could also become a major box office draw. Both have a lot to prove and seem ready to settle their differences in the ring.

Is Terence Crawford Seeking a Title at 160 Pounds?

It’s likely. After defeating Canelo Álvarez, Crawford could seek new challenges. Although there has been speculation about a fight against David Benavidez or Dmitry Bivol, “Bud” could opt for middleweight. If Crawford wants to seek a world title in a sixth division, he could fight at 160 pounds.

Crawford, who recently celebrated his 38th birthday, will not be active for much longer. If he decides to continue, it will be to make history.

Lamont Roach Jr. vs. Isaac Cruz?

Yes. After the rematch against Davis was ruled out, Roach and his team are looking for a new fight. Roach is likely to face Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz, a former champion, although details such as the date and location are still to be finalized.

The fight is expected to take place before the end of the year. This matchup would be ideal for Roach, as Cruz is a well-known name and could result in an exciting fight.

Will Brian Norman Jr. vs. Devin Haney end by KO?

No. Although Norman has power, Haney is superior to any opponent he has faced. Haney is a technically sound boxer, with a sharp jab, good defense, and excellent footwork. Norman will have to be very precise to win, and seeking a knockout could hurt him. It is likely to be a strategic matchup, where the judges will decide the outcome.
