India reveals its lineup for the Adelaide Test

Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, and Prithvi Shaw have been selected to represent India in the upcoming Adelaide Test. Umesh Yadav completes the trio of fast bowlers. The main questions for India before the Test included Shaw’s continuity, the inclusion of a spinner, and the choice of wicketkeeper. Shaw, despite the competition from Shubman Gill, who performed better in the practice games, retained his place as an opener. Although his scores in the practice games were low, the team management sought to maintain stability in the lineup.

The titular spinner, especially with the absence of Ravindra Jadeja due to injury, also kept his place. Regarding the wicketkeeper, India opted for Saha instead of Pant, valuing his superior skills as a wicketkeeper, especially with the pink ball. Yadav, with previous experience in Australia, was selected as the third fast bowler, replacing the injured Ishant Sharma.
