The first Raw after Wrestlepalooza marked the beginning of a new era, leaving the event behind to focus on Crown Jewel, which will be held in Perth, Australia, on October 11.

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins faced off in Evansville, Indiana, to continue their fight for dominance in WWE, preparing for their championship match at Crown Jewel.
The newly crowned women’s world champion, Stephanie Vaquer, the first South American woman to hold the title, offered an emotional promo after announcing her match against the winner of the triple-threat match between Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Nia Jax on SmackDown, at Crown Jewel.
Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka: The Main Event
The main event of Raw was headlined by Rhea Ripley and Asuka, two wrestlers who hadn’t faced each other individually since December 2022. The match was intense and could be the start of a future power team.

Asuka’s Betrayal, the Start of a New Super Team?
The Evansville crowd was enjoying the match between Ripley and Asuka until Kairi Sane, Asuka’s partner in The Kabuki Warriors, tried to interfere, but collided with Asuka, which allowed Ripley to achieve victory. After the match, Asuka attacked Ripley, spitting blue mist in her face. Iyo Sky, an ally of The Kabuki Warriors, tried to stop the attack, but received a blow from Asuka, who also forced Sane to betray her friend.
Everything indicates that we are heading towards a match between Ripley and Sky vs. Asuka and Sane, especially after the announcement that the winner of the triple threat match on SmackDown will face Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel.
Other Raw highlights
Rhodes and Rollins starred in a very tense encounter. Rollins proclaimed himself the future of WWE, saying: “You can be the quarterback, Cody, but you are my quarterback.” They will face each other at Crown Jewel for the championship.
Vaquer offered an emotional promotion, the first since she became women’s world champion. Her father, Héctor, was present.
Jey Uso got revenge on LA Knight, who might have been biased towards The Vision in their tag team match at Wrestlepalooza. Knight hasn’t won a televised singles match in almost two months.
Rusev proved to be a strong opponent for Dominik Mysterio, while The Judgment Day continues to show cracks. Rusev defeated JD McDonagh, who was reluctant to help his Judgment Day teammate. Mysterio refused to intervene when McDonagh needed help in the ring. Rusev will fight for the intercontinental title against Mysterio on next week’s Raw.
Bayley continues to show a dual personality, shifting from joy to violence. Lyra Valkyria tried to hug her after her victory over Roxanne Perez, but was pushed away. Bayley left, clutching her temples.
Grayson Waller was defeated with an Avalanche Mexican Destroyer.
