INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts will face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 with some important absences.

Three key starters will be unavailable for Sunday’s match:

  • Cornerback Kenny Moore II (Achilles)
  • Wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion)
  • Right guard Matt Goncalves (toe)
The three injuries occurred during last Sunday’s victory against the Tennessee Titans, which kept the Colts undefeated with a 3-0 record. These absences will force some substitutes to take on more important roles. Cornerback Mike Hilton, a ninth-year veteran who was signed earlier this week, is expected to be elevated from the practice squad, according to coach Shane Steichen. The secondary will be under pressure, especially against Rams receiver Puka Nacua, who leads the NFL with 29 receptions and ranks second in yards (333). As for the receivers, second-year player Adonai Mitchell is expected to take Pierce’s place, while Dalton Tucker will replace Goncalves as a starter.
