The Women’s Pre-Juvenile Soccer Tournament Kicks Off in the Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo – The Dominican Football Federation (FDF) kicked off the National Tournament of Associations and Clubs in its Pre-Juvenile Female category, marking the beginning of a new stage for women’s football in the country. The first day of the Metropolitan Zone took place last weekend, kicking off this competition that promises excitement and development for young female soccer players. This tournament, which is part of the FDF Development Program, is under the direction of the National Competitions Department, led by Carlos Ramírez. The competition is expected to last until March 2026. A total of 16 teams from across the national territory will compete in this contest, designed for players born on or after January 1, 2009 (Sub-16). A total of 92 matches will be played, thus promoting the practice and growth of women’s soccer in the Dominican Republic.Competition Format
The competition will be held in several phases. The first phase will feature 16 clubs distributed in three zones: Metropolitan, North and South.- Metropolitan Zone: SD Colonial, EF D&F, CDR 5 de Abril, Atlético Los Villanos, Garrincha FC and Nacional FC.
- South Zone: Estrella Azul FC, Paraíso FC, Sabana Yegua FC, Kenson FC and Neyba FC.
- North Zone: Cibao FC, Real Deportivo, San Francisco FC, Jarabacoa A4 Sports and KM5 FC.
