Precious Achiuwa Returns to Miami Heat
The free agent power forward/center, Precious Achiuwa, has reached a one-year agreement with the Miami Heat. The news, confirmed by sources close to the situation, marks the player’s return to the franchise that drafted him in the 2020 NBA draft.
This agreement represents a reincorporation for Achiuwa, who was the Heat’s number 20 pick in the 2020 draft. The player has had outstanding performances in his stints in New York and Toronto during the last four seasons.
The Heat have been looking to reinforce their interior game to support their star center, Bam Adebayo, this season.
In 2021, the Raptors acquired Achiuwa and Goran Dragic from the Heat in a sign-and-trade deal involving Kyle Lowry.
Achiuwa has played in 320 games throughout his career, averaging 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds.
