Arsenal forward Noni Madueke could be out of action for up to two months due to a knee injury. This is confirmed by sources close to the team.
Madueke was substituted at halftime in the match against Manchester City, which ended in a 1-1 draw. After the match, he underwent a medical evaluation on Monday.
This injury represents a new setback for Mikel Arteta, who is already facing the absence of Martin Ødegaard, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus, all due to physical problems.
Bukayo Saka, who was returning from a hamstring injury, was the player who replaced Madueke in the match against Manchester City.
Madueke has performed outstandingly since his arrival at Arsenal, following his transfer from Chelsea for £48 million. He has been a starter in four of the five Premier League matches this season, showing his versatility on both wings.
His performance has also been reflected internationally, where he was a starter in the two qualifying matches for the England World Cup in September, scoring his first goal with the national team in the victory over Serbia.
If a two-month absence is confirmed, Madueke would miss the next two Champions League matches against Atletico Madrid and Slavia Prague.
