La Romana, Dominican Republic. The Toros del Este’s training continues at an accelerated pace, and this Monday the team received important reinforcements, coinciding with their first inter-squad game.
Key Reinforcements for the Bulls
Among the most recent additions are left-handed pitcher José Manuel Fernández, the experienced infielder Ramón Torres, catcher Onil Pérez, and relievers Arodys Vizcaíno and Richelson Peña.
In addition, the pitchers selected in the recent Rookie Draft joined the team: Marlon Nieves, from the Dodgers, and the left-handed Johan Simón, from the Blue Jays.
Also integrated were veteran left-hander Joely Rodríguez and outfielder Ismael Alcántara, who join a considerable group of players who joined last week, including Yairo Muñoz, Ronald Guzman, Jhon Núñez, Yoyner Fajardo, Jesús Martínez, Isaías Tejeda, as well as pitchers Patricio Aquino, Javier Montero and Henry Henry, the latter participating as guests.
A total of 66 players, including those invited to training, are in the Corral as the team prepares for the start of the 2025-26 season, scheduled for October 15.Next Steps: Preseason in Motion
After Monday’s intrasquad game, the team plans to begin an eight-game preseason series with Leones and Estrellas, which will be announced soon.
