Double blow for Barcelona: Gavi and Fermín López, injured
Barcelona has confirmed a double injury blow, affecting Gavi and Fermín López, who will be out of action for a while.
Gavi will have to undergo a minor operation due to a problem in the meniscus of his knee.
Although the club has not specified the duration of his absence, it is estimated that the midfielder could be out until November.
On the other hand, Fermín López will be inactive for approximately three weeks after suffering a muscle injury.
Gavi, who returned from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the same knee last season, hasn’t played since August.

Fermín, although with a shorter recovery time, will miss several matches, starting with the match against Real Oviedo on Thursday, followed by the match against Real Sociedad on Sunday and the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain next week.
Barcelona’s statement adds that Fermín suffers an injury to the iliopsoas muscle in his left leg and will be out for about three weeks.
In other news, Alejandro Balde is close to recovering from a hamstring injury, and Lamine Yamal is also working to return to action after missing the last three matches.
