WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

A historic milestone for professional wrestling. WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event, is preparing to break boundaries and bring its spectacle to Saudi Arabia in 2027, as part of the “Riyadh Season”. This announcement marks the first time WrestleMania will be held outside of North America since its creation in 1985. The news was confirmed by WWE this Friday, marking a bold step in the company’s global expansion.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after the leak of a Snapchat video, now deleted, where Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, anticipated the arrival of WrestleMania to the country.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

Since 2018, WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that includes multiple shows over a decade. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in the country.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city hosts the event.
