Dennis Schroder Leads Germany to Glory at EuroBasket
RIGA, Latvia – Dennis Schroder proved his worth once again, guiding Germany to the gold medal in the European basketball championship. Schroder scored the last six points of the game, while Isaac Bonga led the German offense with 20 points. Germany defeated Turkey with a score of 88-83 in the EuroBasket final, securing their first title since 1993. This triumph comes just two years after the team, with a similar base of players, won the World Cup in 2023.Franz Wagner scored 18 points, while Schroder finished the game with 16 points and 12 assists. Germany concluded the tournament undefeated, with a 9-0 record. The game was a close battle, with 15 lead changes and 11 ties. The last time the lead changed hands was when Schroder scored to put Germany up by one point with 1:15 left. Schroder sealed the victory with a mid-range shot and two free throws, after Turkey’s Alperen Sengun missed a three-point attempt that could have tied the game.We never shy away from the big moments.
