Adovenprofar-A and Los Mellos will play the final of the Junior Superior Tournament
The Adovenprofar-A and Los Mellos teams have earned their place in the final of the Junior Superior tournament organized by the National District Softball Association (Asadina). The grand final, which will define the champion, will be played in a best-of-three series. The first match is scheduled for Thursday the 18th at the Miramar club stadium at 6:45 in the evening. If a third match is necessary, it will be played on Monday the 22nd at the Alfredo Tejada stadium of the Puerto Isabela Sports Complex at 7:00 at night.In the divisional round, Adovenprofar-A defeated Liga Centro with a score of 10-8 at the stadium of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), securing the South Division title. In the second game, Los Mellos staged a comeback, scoring two runs in the last inning to defeat Comercio en Marcha and win the North Division title. Rolando Mateo was the winning pitcher, and Jesús Hernández suffered the loss. Giancarlo Hernández hit the decisive single that gave Los Mellos the victory with a score of 13-12. In addition to Hernandez, Guillermo Gonzalez stood out with a home run and a single, scoring two runs and driving in one. Roberto Cruz hit two home runs, scoring two runs and driving in three.
