The vibrant sound of the rubber ball returns to the streets. Diablitos™ Underwood™ and the 2023 champion and 2024 runner-up team, “Los Diablos de la Bastidas”, are preparing to fight for their second crown in the third Split of the rubber ball tournament ‘Vacílate Esto’.
This event, which has revitalized a traditional Venezuelan sport, seeks to consolidate its position as a benchmark.
Led by social communicator and sports specialist María Alexandra Bastidas, who is also the team’s “chiva”, the team achieved a historic 10-0 victory against Los Bombillos de Petare in the final of the first Split. This triumph not only earned them the title, but also secured their place in the collective memory of Venezuelan sport.
Los Toros de La Vega were crowned champions in the second Split, after defeating “Los Diablos de la Bastidas” 7-3, who lost their undefeated record. This match was considered one of the most exciting of the season, with the Toros securing the victory in the last inning.
Tradition, talent, and recognition
As part of the drive for competition, “El Pare o None” was held, an event that generated great expectation and excitement among fans, serving to introduce the selected players from each team.
The Pelotica de Goma Tournament was awarded the silver prize in the Entertainment Lions for Sport category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025, held in France. This recognition was given to its creators, Jhon Da Silva and Juan Carlos Martínez, from La Web Digital Agency, who celebrated this achievement as the first award of its kind for Venezuela.
Between 13/Sep/2025 and 04/Sep/2025, the teams will compete in a new edition that promises even more excitement, tradition, and connection with our roots.
