Santo Domingo – The Centro and Comercio leagues teams achieved decisive victories in the last day of the XXXV Rubén Pimentel tournament, organized by the Asociación de Softbol del Distrito Nacional (Asadina) in the Junior Superior category. In the first match, Liga Centro defeated Villa Juana-B with a score of 7-3, thanks to a solid offense that connected eight hits. This victory secures them a place in the South Division final, where they will face Adovenprofar-A. Simultaneously, Comercio en Marcha demonstrated its power by knocking out La Puya, securing its place in the North Division final against Los Mellos. Carlos Matos was the winning pitcher for the Central League, while Alberto Núñez took the loss. Emilio Sánchez led the Central League’s offense, standing out with a 2-2 with one RBI.
