Anthony Martial joins Rayados de Monterrey

French forward Anthony Martial has sealed his incorporation to Rayados de Monterrey, coming from AEK Athens. The announcement was confirmed this Friday by the Mexican club, marking a milestone in its history. Martial, 29 years old, has signed a contract that binds him to the team until 2027, with the option to extend it for an additional year. He thus becomes the first French player to wear the Monterrey jersey. The attacker, with a past in the French national team, arrives in Monterrey after a career that includes nine seasons at Manchester United. His signing by the English club in 2015, coming from AS Monaco, represented an initial investment of 36 million pounds sterling, at the time, the highest figure paid for a teenager.
