The Princess of Wales joined the celebrations in the England dressing room after their 47-7 victory over Australia in the Women’s Rugby World Cup on Saturday.
Kate, patron of the Rugby Football Union, was a prominent spectator at the Amex Stadium in Brighton, where the Red Roses prepared for a quarter-final clash with Scotland and equaled their own world record of 30 consecutive test match wins.
Lark Atkin-Davies, from Bristol, who came off the bench in the second half, revealed in her weekly column on EnglandRugby.com that the princess wasn’t simply there to make up the numbers.

“Last week we had football royalty visiting us when England football star Chloe Kelly watched the Samoa game, but this week we had actual royalty come to watch,” revealed Atkin-Davies.
